Cal. Civ. Code §5928

Alternative dispute resolution — Prerequisite to civil action

Requires that before filing an enforcement action regarding the governing documents, declaration, or Davis-Stirling, the moving party offer to participate in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). A certificate stating that the ADR offer was made (or that the dispute is excepted) must be filed with the civil complaint.
